Running your app on Azure Kubernetes Service: a scenario-based look

In this session, we will look at deploying an application on Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service) from the point of view of a developer with a basic understanding of containers and Kubernetes. The code is ready and works locally but now it needs to run on Kubernetes.

In this session, we will look at deploying an application on Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service) from the point of view of a developer with a basic understanding of containers and Kubernetes. The code is ready and works locally but now it needs to run on Kubernetes. In the journey to a published application, we will look at the following:
– What is a container really and why would we package the app in a container?
– How to build a container image?
– How can the container image be optimized?
– How to automate the container build?
– How do we deploy Kubernetes?
– How do we get our app running on Kubernetes?
– How do we publish our app securely?
– How do we monitor our app and store its logs?
– How do we upgrade the app?

If you are a developer and have limited experience with containers and Kubernetes then this session is for you. Join us on this journey and pick up the basics you absolutely need to know. This session will be demo-heavy.
